What a week thus far. Just about every muscle group has been worked pretty hard, so what could possibly be next. Well how about a nice little chipped into moves that require allot more muscle groups than their name implies. That sounds like a plan. GoRuckers, we are meeting this Saturday tentatively at 10:15AM, location to be determined. If you absolutely CAN NOT make that time shoot me an e-mail with when you can go sbd I’ll see what we can do.

Nice little 10′ AMRAP yesterday. This past weekend made us realize that we need to incorporate a lot more short sprint workouts. They are harder because since it’s such a short workout you have to sprint the entire time. Some of you realized that today. If you can honestly say that there is no way you could have gone harder in today workout, then you did it right. If you think you could have gone harder, then you know to fix that next time you see a short sprint workout.

Attention: Due to the forecast for crazy weather in the AM, please check the website before you head out to see if class is on as scheduled. If it is to be canceled it will be done around 4 am.
What a fun weekend in Charlottesville. All competitors did exceptional work, with others accomplishing feats they didn’t think possible (Crystal on snatches). The CrossFit Games qualifiers are beginning soon, with registration February 1st. It is a event done at your local affiliate, with no real pressure, and a good way to see how you compare to other Cross Fitters in the country.

Variation soon to be at both gyms. Ask anyone who competed how much they suck.

Would like to give Amissville people a heads up that there will be class changes (nothing too drastic) in the near future to accommodate Justin’s fire academy schedule. Parker will be picking up a lot of training, Justin hopes to still train as well and you’ll probably see Carlina/Crystal appearances. We are unsure of his schedule at this time, but should know more soon. When we know, we will let everyone know; until then, do not ask.
Skill/Strength Work on Kipping Pullup Form (if already conquered work on goals) if this is one of your goals. GREAT! If you haven’t established 1, 3, and 6 month goals yet, this is the time to do it! Well the WODs for this weekends SuperFit Games in Charlottessville are up, and I must say they don’t look to bad. It will be interesting to see how smoothly everything runs, because that was what hurt last years event. So remember no classes this weekend at either gym, and if you find yourself with nothing to do come on down and check the venue out.

Reminder to everyone that there are no classes at either facility this upcoming weekend due to the Charlottesville SuperFit Games (Jan 21 & 22). The SuperFit Games should be interesting this year. They are being held at a real facility, and hopefully the schedule will run alot smoother than last year.
